Lallemand featured at the International Conference on Beneficial Microbes 2016
Phuket, Thailand – Lallemand participated in the International Conference on Beneficial Microbes (ICOBM 2016) from May 31 to June 2, 2016. The biennial conference provides a platform for the interaction and exchange of research ideas among experts from various fields of beneficial micro-organisms. This year more than 300 international scientists, researchers, academicians, industrial professionals and postgraduate students attended.
Lallemand showcased the application of micro-organisms across various business units and shared information regarding unique products.
Justin van Rooyen, Vice President of Business Development, Lallemand Biofuels and Distilled Spirits, USA, delivered a dynamic and well received presentation on “The Keys to the Successful Implementation of Industrial Biotech at Full Scale“.
Lallemand also presented the “Young Scientist Award”, which was granted to Liang Wei Wilson Lee from the National University of Singapore, for his presentation “Characterization of Aroma Precursors and Volatile Profiles of Green and Roasted Coffee Beans Fermented with Yarrowia lipoltica”.
